Customer operations

With Control Center, you can manage your customers' accounts, such changing the status of their account or making a single adjustment in the case of a transaction error. You can also administer card disputes on their behalf. For more information, refer to the following:

Customers and accounts

On the Pismo platform, a customer can be a company, an individual, or a generic customer with fewer properties. You can edit some personal information for a customer in Control Center, such as their name, birth date, and marital status. However, other details are read only, such as the customer ID and document number.

An account must have at least one customer. An account can have multiple customers, to support situations such as joint accounts and multiple cards, but there can only be one account owner. Note that account ownership cannot be changed in Control Center.

For information about customers on the Pismo platform, refer to Core objects and Account customers.

Applicants

An applicant in the context of the Pismo platform represents a customer who is applying to open a financial account. That is, when you use the Accounts API Create account application endpoint to create an account application you specify a default customer entity object for the customer based on their organization. The customer that you specify automatically becomes the account owner.

Accounts and cards

An account on the Pismo platform represents a financial relationship between a customer and your financial institution. It is used to manage various activities such as transactions, balances, and other related services. The Pismo platform provides a comprehensive and flexible account management system that supports multiple types of accounts, including checking, savings, credit, and investment accounts.

Each account is contained within a program, and the account’s type (such as credit, debit, or prepaid) is determined by the program type that contains it. A customer can have their own individual card, but all cards draw from the same account limit/balance. A customer can have multiple accounts, such as a corporate credit account with a credit card, and a personal bank account with a debit card. For a full list and description of program types, refer to Program types.
