Create and update disputes fraud reports

How you can manage supporting dispute fraud reports on the Pismo platform.

If the dispute involves fraud, you can submit a fraud report on the Pismo platform.

Create a fraud report

When there’s a new dispute involving fraud, you can create a fraud report. To create a dispute fraud report:

  1. Enter the disputeId. To get this disputeId, go to retrieve a dispute and find the ID number in the disputeId field from its response.
  2. Select the fraud report (REPORT OBJECT) in the report field.
  3. Enter the correct information in the report.

This creates the dispute fraud report and initiates the chargeback on the card network.

Update fraud reports

When there's an update to a dispute with fraud, you can update its report. To update a dispute fraud report:

  1. Enter the fraudReportId. To get this fraudReportId, go to retrieve a dispute and find the ID number in the fraud_report_id field from its response.

  2. Select the correct fraud report (REPORT OBJECT) in the report field.

  3. Change the needed information in the report.

This updates the dispute fraud report on the card network.

📘

If there’s a dispute about an installment, enter the dispute_installment_id number. To get this dispute_installment_id, go to retrieve an installment and find the ID number you need from its response under dispute_installment_id.
